Heading into the weekend, I offer a space to reflect on what you learned from your test this week. And then decide if you will tweak the plan for the weekend.

By planning ahead of time any “off-plan” moments, you remain in control of your experiment. (You can also get feedback and strategy recommendations when you head into tricky situations, ex: travel, holiday, hosting a visitor, ect.) This is where we plan for those ‘Oh no, my boss’s birthday means cupcakes in the breakroom’ moments, so you don’t spiral into ‘Well, guess I’ll eat cupcakes forever now.’”

Start your week by setting intentions. Every Monday, I’ll ask you to share your “system” experiment for the week and identify your “focus habit” that you’re currently testing. (Don’t worry, I’ll explain what all that means inside the lab) This is where you get clear on what you’ve decided is “on plan” for this week. (By setting your intention on a Monday and stating it publicly to the group, you’re already practicing two of the most important habit-stategies. Look at you go!)

So a few of those people better be positive because—let’s be real—we’ve already got the negativity covered on our own. (They’re called Automatic Negative Thoughts, or ANTs. And yes, we’ll cover how to deal with those inside the Lab!)

Q&A

Live calls are encouraged but not required. They’re a great opportunity to connect with others, share progress, and get personalized feedback. Plus, with replays available, you can always catch up later.

Do I need to attend the live calls?

What’s the time commitment?

We keep things intentionally light so you can engage without overwhelm. You can expect two live calls a month (there will be replays), plus weekly check-in-posts every Monday and Friday. Outside of that, you’re encouraged to check in whenever it feels right for you! Plan on an average of an hour per week to see the best progress! (The course itself will take around 5 hours to consume and is self-paced. It will be released one lesson per week for five weeks.)

How long should I plan to stay in the membership?

Plan for The Habit Lab to be the number one tool your toolkit for designing your “best year ever.” Each month, you’ll add new tiny habits that stack on top of one another, helping you gradually tackle daily hurdles and freeing up energy for what truly matters. 

As you gain control over foundational habits, you might find yourself ready to pursue new goals—like writing a book, launching a website, or any dream that feels right for you. 

By the end of the year, you’ll have the foundations in place to tackle all of your current goals (Then of course, we’ll make even more goals for the following year.) So I guess I should say plan to commit to the year, feel the freedom to cancel at anytime, but ultimately fall in love with the most supportive community on the internet and stay forever. 🙂

when Are the live calls & are they recorded?

The time will vary to try and accommodate as many schedules as possible. And Yes! All live calls are recorded and available for replay, so you can watch whenever it’s convenient. The first part of each call features a “hot seat” coaching session, where we work directly with a member on their habit-building journey—an inspiring experience even if you’re catching the replay. Then it's Open Lab, Q&A with Katie.

can i access this from my phone?

Yep! There's an app. It's all right there. Even the Live Calls can be taken from mobile if that's easier. You quite literally have a coach in your pocket. (It's also accessible from your computer, too.) 

How long does it take to see results?

Results vary, but many members start noticing positive changes within a few weeks as they align their habits with their values or as I call it “the unlocking” period. Over time, you’ll build a supportive, personalized system designed to keep stacking new habits onto as you uncover new goals you didn’t even know you had. (Because once we get the hang of the daily stuff, we start to uncover the big stuff!)

Absolutely! Monthly themes are optional and are only designed to inspire. You’re welcome to join at any time, whether you’re following the current theme or pursuing your own goals.

Can I join in the middle of a monthly challenge?

Should I ask a friend, my mom, or my sister to sign up with me?

YES. Habits thrive with accountability, and nothing says “I’ve got your back” like tackling life together. Plus, who doesn’t want a built-in cheerleader who’ll hype you up for small wins and call you out (lovingly) when you start slipping?

What if I’m working on different habits/goals than other members?

That’s expected and perfectly okay! The Habit Lab is designed to support all types of habits. Our tools and community are flexible, so whether you're focused on decluttering, wellness, productivity, or another area, you’ll find encouragement and resources to support your unique goals. The foundation of every habit will translate.

What if I miss a check-in or a call?

No worries at all! Our approach is designed to fit your life, not add stress. You can jump back in whenever you’re ready, and the community will always be here to support you. Life happens. You’re not being graded. Just jump back in when you’re ready. We’re like the gym buddy who texts, ‘Get back in here, hot nerd,’ not the mean drill sergeant you imagine in your head.

WHO IS THIS KATIE DAY PERSON?

And, by the way—I’m also an emmy-award-winning comedy writer, and I believe passionately that transformation should fun and judgment-free. This is a space to experiment, make progress, and have a few laughs.


Hi! I’m this Katie Day person!!! I’m a 5x certified coach, mother of four, who’s been through my own journey of transformation—I lost 75 pounds, broke free from my nightly wine habit, revived my 18-year-long marriage, and even tackled my “garbage person” slob tendencies. I’ve built The Habit Lab because I know firsthand how powerful it is to have the right support, structure, and strategies in place.

I’m also deeply invested in the science behind habit change and in my 5-part course, I will share everything I know about how our brains work to support lasting change. You’ll get a deep dive into the techniques that actually work, so you can create habits that stick. No fluff. (Well I mean, there are a few jokes here and there.)

I’ll be actively involved in the community every week, leading our bi-weekly live calls, where I dive into “hot seat” coaching with one featured member, then “open lab” to help everyone fine-tune their habits and any blocks that come up.

what is the Refund Policy?

Due to the nature of this electronic product and the fact that it cannot be "returned", we have a no-refund policy.

There will be no partial (or prorated) refunds on monthly payments. Cancellations will be effective on the end date of the current billing term. Once your term has expired, you will be removed from the group! (I’ll be sad to see you go but no hard feelings! Life happens! I get it!)
